Introduction
The science of feeding a racehorse is very complex, but it is built around a simple premise; Proper development is essential to maximum performance. We all know that every horse cannot be fed the same. Instead what must be recognized is that each horse must be fed a diet, based on a solid foundation of accurate and proven scientific information and thorough knowledge of the physical task required.
Dietary requirements of individual horses are different due to many variables such as body condition, size, age, temperament, activity level, environmental conditions, health status, stress levels, metabolic rate and so on. Adjusting the diet of individual horses is an art of horsemanship learned over many years of experience and grounded in sound information. We at Capstone, together with our Associates, believe we are providing you, our client, a solid foundation with our premium quality product range.
Energy is the most limiting factor in sustaining continued success on the racetrack. Capstone Race 13 makes available to the equine athlete, a variety of energy sources, carefully selected to maintain a physical as well as a mental edge, through rigorous racing campaigns.
Beet pulp, a highly digestible fibre source, used for the very first time here, provides a unique source of energy while soya and canola oil are widely accepted as a complement to high performance diets. Machine cleaned and dressed oats of breakfast cereal quality together with the micronized and flaked maize used in Race 13, will provide an optimum balance of different energy sources to optimise the potential of your racehorse.
Race 13 has an impressive list of champions to lend support to its world-renowned reputation. We are proud to be able to introduce Race 13, a new addition to our existing range of racing feeds namely; Race Time, Track Time, Cool Time and Perform Time Pellet, to South Africa.
We are extremely grateful to our associates, Hallway Feeds and KER, whose input and collaboration are invaluable and make us unquestioned leaders in equine nutrition in this country.
