What is Capstone Excel Feed Supplement?

Capstone EXCEL Feed Supplement is a concentrated, premium multi vitamin, trace mineral and amino acid supplement scientifically formulated for performance horses to provide nutritional support for peak achievement.

Hardworking, competing and racing horses require high intakes of vitamins, trace minerals and amino acids to meet the increased demands placed upon them by hard training and to enhance performance, prevent muscle disorder, aid red blood cell synthesis, ensure efficient energy metabolism and improve recovery after exercise. EXCEL supplies all the additional requirements of the hard working equine athlete for good health.

Features and Benefits

  • EXCEL incorporates the latest scientific breakthroughs in equine nutrition. Contains chelated minerals
EXCEL in a natural chelated (organic) form, confer greater absorption, thus increased effectiveness and helps enhance horses blood count.
  • Contains high potency organic chromium
Aids performance and recovery by reducing lactic acid build up and delaying the onset of fatigue. This leads to improved performance. Chromium is an essential trace element for optimum carbohydrate metabolism, and the amount of chromium required by competition horses is much higher during periods of stressful physical exercise.
  • Contains high levels of blood building compounds, such as iron, key B group vitamins and minerals
Horses under stress of hard work, competition and travel may suffer from suppression of red cell synthesis together with reduced life span of red cells. Iron and B vitamins are necessary for haemoglobin and red blood cell production and prevention of anaemia. They also help maintain normal blood profiles and produce “winning blood test” results.
  • Contains optimum levels of Biotin, Zinc and Methionine
EXCEL contains biotin, zinc and methionine at levels shown to be beneficial for hoof growth and development of strong hoof structure. Weak, split or cracked hooves and dropped heels are all factors that can cause lameness and loss of performance - “no foot no horse”. They also help in producing a shiny, healthy coat.

As a guide, feed 60g to hard working horses per day and 40g to ponies. Halve the dose for light working or resting horses. Mix well with the feed. The daily dose of EXCEL is best divided equally between morning and evening feeds. Close lid tightly after use and store in a cool, dry place.

NOTE: Most of the vitamins and minerals are water soluble and some are dark in colour. Exposure to moisture, or the addition of water to the supplement dissolves the coloured nutrients, giving the product a darker texture. Ensure dry hands are used when handling the product.
