Feeding Directions:
As a guide, horses weighing approximately 500kg in full work will require between 4kg - 7kg of Track Time per day. The amount of Track Time fed should be varied depending on the workload, metabolism, forage quality and body condition of the horse. Halve the
intake of Track Time on rest days. Track Time should be fed in conjunction with a minimum of 5 kg (1% of body weight) of quality roughage such as Equi-chaff or hay as a fibre source for optimal hindgut health. Do not feed more than 2.5kg of Track Time per feed.
As Track Time is a highly digestible high-energy feed source, care should be taken not to overfeed horses confined to stables or not receiving regular exercise. Reduce the intake of Track Time if horses gain too much weight or training intensity decreases. Introduce Track Time to your horses diet gradually over a period of 7-10 days.
During periods of heavy sweat loss, additional supplementation of a quality electrolyte such as Capstone Horse Electrolyte is recommended.
